Tanya Shaw Weeks

President & CEO

As Unique’s founder, Shaw Weeks has spent her career providing strategic solutions to address many aspects of individuality and fit. Her technically savvy nature and sharp business acumen have resulted in the development of numerous products and applications that provide solutions related to body measurements and body data. Leveraging her experience in the custom apparel industry, Shaw Weeks has positioned Unique for dramatic growth through multiple market applications of its body scanning, measurement technology and related customized products.

Shaw Weeks has also exhibited the extraordinary ability to recruit world-class executive talent in the early development stages of Unique Solutions. Contrary to the norms for a company its size, the company has integrated an experienced group of senior executives that easily rivals that of a Fortune 500 company.

She has been actively involved on a number of boards including: Entrepreneurs’ Forum, NSCAD University, NovaKnowledge, Downeast Communications and Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED) and most recently a member of the Dalhousie University Faculty of Management Board of Advisors. In addition to her board work, she offers her time to work with community organizations at a local level.



Sheri McKillop

Executive Vice President and COO

Sheri McKillop is an industry leader in fit and garment construction. With a keen sense of technology applications and progressive management skills, she has led the company to the implementation of forward–thinking solutions within many industries.

Since joining the company in 1996, she has been integral to the development of Unique’s proprietary CAD software for pattern automation, both versions of the bodyskanner™ and the expansion and automation of Unique Patterns’ production systems. In addition, she has developed and executed Unique’s Certified Unique Educator (CUE) Program, which optimizes custom fit through teaching proper garment construction.

McKillop is a featured speaker, presenter and columnist, lending her garment construction authority to Maritime Noon on CBC Radio, internationally acclaimed television shows America Sews and Creative Living and a sewing column, In Stitches. Before joining Unique, she founded and operated her own company and school in fashion design and garment construction. Sheri is involved with Skills Canada as part of the National Technical Committee and with Entrepreneurs’ Forum.



Dr. Kent Worsnop

Chief Technology Officer

Kent Worsnop has been with Unique since 1999; his technical development skills and business sense have been instrumental in the company’s growth. He oversees all technical operations of the company, including product development, research, IT systems and infrastructure. He has been integral in developing the bodyskanner, proprietary CAD software, pattern automation and measurement extraction.

Prior to joining Unique, Worsnop obtained his PhD in theoretical and computational chemistry from Dalhousie University where he also worked as the system administrator for the department’s various research computers and garnered awards for teaching assistance. His technical expertise has been cultivated through his published research in the areas of coding and use of scientific programs.



Larry Shipp

Sr. VP, Sales, Health and Wellness

Larry Shipp joined Unique in 2006 as part of the team assessing the health and wellness market. Since then, with great enthusiasm for Unique’s potential in this industry, he has joined the company full time as VP, Sales for Health and Wellness.

Shipp brings great experience and knowledge to the company. He worked as government and public affairs manager for AstraZeneca from 1995 to 2002; he held positions as a staff pharmacist, corporate pharmacy manager and has operated a major pharmacy/home healthcare business as the franchise holder; he was the general manager of QS/1 Data Systems Canada in the mid ‘90s, which is a leader in providing pharmacy management and clinical programs to pharmacies; and most recently he held the position of Executive Director of the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy.
